LEGAL REPRESENTATION: FDLA represents anyone in Chicago Police custody, regardless of income. FDLA’s services are free, and we are committed to providing access to counsel for indigent Chicagoans. In 2010, FDLA represented 232 individuals in Chicago Police custody, approximately 30% of whom were juveniles.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH: Strong relationships with community organizations help FDLA provide educational and legal services across the city. In 2010, FDLA conducted Street Law presentations reaching an estimated 2,000 people at schools, churches, and community groups.
