November Orientation for First Defenders!

Next Volunteer Attorney Training
at the Westside Center for Justice
Wednesday, November 15th 5:00- 6:30 p.m.
This month, we will host another volunteer attorney orientation to learn how to provide station house defense. It is everyone’s right to have an attorney with them during police questioning. All we need is you! Please spread the word: First Defender training for Volunteer Attorneys & 711 eligible Law Students:
Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 
at the Westside Center for Justice
601 S. California, Chicago, IL 60612
(Easy access via the Blue and Green line L stations, or the #7 (Harrison) and #94 (South California) buses. There is ample, free, street parking as well.)
Please join us and help spread the word about our upcoming volunteer attorney orientation/training to prepare new First Defenders to protect arrestees’ rights in police custody.
All available attorneys and 711 eligible law students are needed more than ever, to protect arrestee rights. Covering just one, 4-hr shift a month makes such a difference!
No criminal law experience necessary to volunteer! Attending one of the upcoming FDLA volunteer attorney orientations will give you all the information you need to help provide station house defense to everyone in Chicago!
